A New Home

" I saw her go somewhere outside the camp. She'll be back," Fern said watching Talon eating hungrily. She padded a little outside of the den. Just enough to feel the warm sun. She laid down and let the sun soak into her fur. Cloral turned into a Bluejay and flew up into a tree.

Leopard called "Thanks" and ate her fill quickly to step aside for the leaders. She submitted to them, and stared admiringly at her superiors.

Leopard barked "I'm going to find Hazel" and dashed out of camp....



Leopard returned. She walked up to the leaders. "I must go home" she announced boldly. "I came back to say goodbye. I do not know where Hazel is though. I will miss you, but I may be back soon."

Fern rushed too Lepoards side.
" Are you sure? YOu have always been welcome here," Fern said. She would miss Leopard.

"I'm sure. I must fight for my home, if I fail I shall return"

Icestar licked everyone, than dashed off once more.

Talon watched the young wolf go. He would miss the spirited, devoted she-wolf, but he had more important things to do.

" So now we are down to three," Fern said. She really hoped more would turn up.

"Yes, we are." Talon confirmed. "But there is always hope. We are just getting started, why not make the best of our time together." Talon licked Ferns muzzle, reassuring her. "For now, we should hunt. It will help bind us together. I shall howl for Hazel." Talon scrabbled onto the Highrock and howled a message, "Hazel! Hazel, come back! We're going hunting!"

Minutes after setting out on her patrol, Simba brought down a fat squirrel and offered it to Hazel. Hazel nosed Simba, and said, "No Simba. You keep it, I had enough of that calf, and you haven't eaten at all today." Hazel watched her anima with affection as he gulped down the squirrel with a few famished gulps. Just then, Hazel heard a howl from Talon. She rushed back to camp, wondering where Leopard was. "Where did Leopard go?" She asked curiously.

Talon immediately took on a defensive position when the newcomer arrived. He remained friendly, but cautious all the same. "Hello..." he replied. "My name is Talon, and this is my mate, Fern. What can we do for you?"

Fern looked the new wolf over. She looked well enough and could be a valuable contribution to there pack. She smiled warmly at the new comer. Standing next to Talon she felt happy that things were starting to look up so soon.

A tall slender female wolf entered within the Autumn Forest, her golden fire colored eyes darted back and forth as her nose sniffed the warm air. Her cream and tan swilled pelt was standing slightly, but it was just her way of showing that she had to be carful in another wolves land. "What do you think Cody? Do you think that we should rest for a minute or two?" She said to a little albino mouse that hopped onto her head.

"Hm,sounds good to me, Willow." Cody said as he brushed aside the females fur on her head and looked into her eyes upside down, his small white mouse ears twitched here and there for a bit. He held onto Willow's fur as he felt her lay down gently.

Willow gave the mouse a nod as she layed down her head on top of her paws, this place could be her new home...But only time can really tell what will happen next.
