Running

Leopard sped through the forest on velvet paws, leaping over trees, swerving around boulders, flying like the wind! She hooked her claws into the ground, and leaped! She came down on the bull elk she had scented, and the ride was on! the bull bucked and shook, slamming against trees and rocks in hopes to find relief from the devil that was striving to reach the vein of life, the jugular. Leo, hurtling down as a bird landed close by and turned into a cat. He as well leaped on and took his station at clawing out the eyes. It soon worked, because the elk roared and leaped forward to run. 'nows your chance' Leo thought to Leopard, but there was no need, she was already dangling from his throat, clamping her jaws yet deeper. 'you did a good job of mauling his face Leo' she smirked as well as she could, and used her final trick bite and the bull fell. She waited until it had died and began to ravenously tear at it, Leo, having shapeshifted into a fox, did so as well. After they ate their fill, they curled up as cat and wolf together in the nook of a trees roots.

~The next day~

Leopard woke up and stretched. Leo was still sleeping. She took a running leap and pounced on Leo thinking and shouting her loudest noise. He woke with a start, and angrily turned on Leopard, hissing. He stopped, she was rolling on the ground laughing, and he joined in as well. When they finally stopped, the thought a quick "lets go" to each other, and Leo in eagle form, ran their daily race to the lagoon...
